What is Thefacebook?
Thefacebook is an online directory that connects students through their college networks.
Who can register?
Right now, Thefacebook is for students who have a supported university email and a registration code from the fake university system.
Why do I need a university email?
The university email proves which school network the account belongs to.
Can I edit my profile?
Yes. After logging in, use edit profile to change basic info, contact info, interests, bio, and your profile picture.
Can other students see my profile?
Students can visit profile pages by user id. The profile page shows account info, school info, and the profile fields you saved.
What happens when I log out?
Logout removes the current session on the backend and clears the browser session cookie.
Why does this look like an old website?
The project is recreating the early 2004 Thefacebook feel, so the pages use simple borders, blue headers, small links, and plain HTML layouts.
Where do I start testing?
Start from the fake university page, create a student email and registration code, then register for Thefacebook.
